About Us

Since I first learnt to drive in 1981 I dreamed of owning a VW camper.  My obsession began after my brother introduced me to Arlo Guthrie's film "Alice's Restaurant" which, as well as Arlo himself, also starred a red VW microbus.   From that point I was hooked on VW campers old and new and finally, 17 years, 3 kids and one divorce later finally realised my dream when I saw Genevieve for sale and decided to give her a good home.

As you can see, she needs a bit of work and that's where this website comes in.

The aim is to show a warts-n-all account of our journey with Genevieve - all the good stuff and all the bad, the camping and the maintenance and all the tlc that is going to be needed to turn Genevieve from an ugly duckling into a swan.
